Merry Christmas from Christmas island

The "Merry Christmas from Christmas island" project was launched in 1999, and is operated with permission and in cooperation with the Republic of Kiribati. Christmas cards are first sold and then collected in Japan by Mibunri Design Institute, Japan. These cards are then hand-delivered by Mibunri staff to the Christmas Island post office, where they are postmarked and then air mail to the world.

The purpose of this project is : to raise global consciousness of the impact and adverse effects of global warming on our precious earth.

Southern islands are now being threatened by the constant rising of the sea-level due to global warming. We can do something now - even small things which are part of our daily lives - every bit helps.
